What say you - daily weigh ins or nah?

How often do you weigh yourself? I don’t do it daily, but I’ve been wondering if I should start as I work toward losing these last 9 lbs. On one hand, daily weigh-ins can help you spot trends and stay accountable. On the other, the scale can fluctuate a lot day to day—hydration, hormones, even what you ate the night before—so it can be frustrating if you’re expecting steady drops. Curious what works best for you—do you find daily check-ins helpful or do you prefer a few times a week?

I can't recall the last time I weighed myself. I just rely on how my clothes fit. If it all feels stable, I'm happy. My goal is to work into more intense exercise, which may up my weight if I build muscle.

Are Cold Plunges Really that Beneficial?

Our neighbors up north swear by it. I am only ever tempted after a hot sauna and I will say it provides a sense of euphoria. However, you will not find me in Canada this month jumping into an icy cold lake - even if Lee bore a hole big enough!!

What Inspires You?

Just the other weekend I had a chance to interview my sister-in-law. A former world record holder in masters speedskating - short course. She took up the sport in her 40's and was soon skating circles around individuals half her age. Did I mention she is also a vetrinarian, raised 4 children. Uffdah. What's so inspiring is her journey back from knee replacement surgery. She could have opted for the couch - for the rest of her life, but instead chose to work at getting back on her bike, back in the garden and yes back on skates. She was inspired by a picture of a downhill skiier - and with that image alone, a ton of grit and ambition she pushed through. What inspires you to overcome obstacles? Join the conversation. I'd love to hear from you. BTW - click on the youtube logo on the right to access…
